Bazart is the 21st century's hottest Dutch-language pop group. Creating music with an English sound, but in their own language, the trio combines the soul of Gorki and the impact of Clouseau. They burst onto the scene in 2015 with the now-classic ‘Goud’, quickly landing gigs at Rock Werchter and the Sportpaleis, an incredible achievement for an up-and-coming band. Things moved so fast that Bazart was left breathless. The perception of being a hype stuck with them, but they finally shook it off with ‘Onderweg’ (2021), the album featuring hits like ‘Anders’ and ‘Denk maar niet aan morgen’. Their sound has grown into something broader: ‘Van God los’, ‘Blijf nog even hier’ (with Guusje), ‘Hou mij vast’ (with Pommelien Thijs) and the unique ‘Over de rand’. The addition of drummer Mario Goossens (of Triggerfinger) and bassist Tom Coghe (of Goose) brings both depth and firepower to their live shows.
