WERCHTER BOUTIQUE

This year, Werchter Boutique, which will take place at the Festivalpark in Werchter (Belgium) on Whit Monday May 28, is all about heavy rock and metal. Metallica will play their magnum opus ‘Metallica’ (1991) in full. ‘The Black Album’ celebrated its 20th birthday in 2011. The set will be complemented with a parade of classics from the band's immense back catalogue. The Metallica at Werchter Boutique show will be their only performance in the Benelux this summer.

Metallica are not coming to Werchter alone. They are keen to invite other bands to take part in the festivities. The names of these bands can now be revealed. In consultation with Metallica, the following bands have been added to the line-up: SOUNDGARDEN, MASTODON, CHANNEL ZERO, GOJIRA and GHOST.

Note that Soundgarden were supposed to play the Rockhal in Esh/Alzette (Luxemburg) on May 28. Metallica's invitation for them to come and play right before them in Werchter, made them alter their plans and cancel the show in Luxemburg. Ticketholders for the Rockhal show can ask for a refund of their ticket or -other option- can to come to Werchter as tickets for the Rockhal show of Soundgarden will give access to Werchter Boutique at no additional cost.  For more information, visit www.rockhal.lu
